MC 40 LAMP

HI JOHN,
THE MC40 WAS DESIGNED FOR MANCHESTER COLLIERIES THE DUKE OF BRIDGWATERS ESTATE AROUND WORSLEY. THEY WERE PHASED OUT FROM NATIONALISATION IN 1947 AND REPLACED WITH THE TYPE 6.
THEY WERE A PARAFFIN BURNING LAMP WITH A HIGH TENSION LIGHTING CIRCUIT.

    I have a protector lamp type A-1. Can you tell me how old it is.

    they were made fro around 1900 to the 1950's, look for the 2 digit number eg 57/ which is year of make
